Lonnie Daugherty, age 85, passed away peacefully at Parkwest Medical Center on September 25, 2026.

Lonnie was born on November 20, 1940, in New River, TN and was a loving father, husband, brother, grandfather, and great grandfather. He married the love of his life, Wilma, in 1961. Lonnie had a variety of jobs, but he would always tell stories about being a coal miner or doing drywall. He loved taking care of his garden, working on cars, watching westerns, and spending time with his family.

Lonnie is survived by his daughter, Tammy (George); sisters, Brenda (Chuck) and Kay (Gary); brothers, Larry and Condy; grandchildren Ashley, Jonathan (Halley), Travis, and Megan (Evan); great grandchildren, Hailey, Jayden, Rhiley, and Hunter.

He is proceeded in death by his wife, Wilma Daugherty; parents, Elmia and Raymond Daugherty; son, Bodie Daugherty.

The family will host a gathering of friends Friday, October 2, 2026, at Sharp Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. with a service to follow officiated by Pastor Gary Armes interment will take place Saturday, October 3, 2026, at Patterson Cemetery at 1:00 p.m.
