To combat rising scam and deception tactics, the Monterey Police Department is partnering with the local pastors' group to host a public Fraud Seminar this Thursday evening.
The informative event is scheduled for 6:00 PM at the Monterey First Assembly of God Church, located at 1050 N. Chestnut St.
Organizers emphasize that the seminar is entirely free and open to the general public. With fraudulent attempts targeting community members on the rise, law enforcement aims to equip attendees with practical tools to identify, spot, and stop potential scams before they occur.
Residents of all ages are encouraged to attend and learn how to better protect themselves and their finances.
