An arrest was made shortly after a deadly shooting Saturday in Anderson County. Officers went to a home on the 300 block of Willow Lane where they found 43-year-old David Ray Roach, Jr. with gunshot wounds. He was transported to a hospital where he was pronounced dead. The investigation revealed the victim’s neighbor, 64-year-old George M. Patterson, was the individual allegedly responsible for the act. Patterson was charged with criminal homicide, transported to the Anderson County Jail and placed under $250,000 bond. A motive for the shooting was not initially released.
