Angel Alberto “Al” Verdecia, age 79, of the Cumberland Cove Community of Monterey, Tennessee, passed away on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at the Cumberland Medical Center in Crossville, Tennessee. Mr. Verdecia was born on Thursday, September 20, 1945, in Manhattan, New York, to the late Florangel and Luz Marina Izquierdo Verdecia. Mr. Verdecia was a Civil Engineer working with Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department. He was an Amateur Radio Operator known by his call sign KA4ANA. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Ellen Diane Soton Verdecia; 2 daughters and a son-in-law, Deborah Verdecia and Laura Verdecia-Conatser and Michael Conatser; and 2 grandsons, Elisha Conatser and Ian Conatser.
