Ann Martin Jones, 71
Ann Martin Jones, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on January 1, 2026, after a hard-fought battle with Parkinson’s disease. She faced her illness with strength, grace, and quiet perseverance, leaving a lasting example of faithfulness, determination, and love to all who knew her.
Ann was the devoted wife of Mike Jones, with whom she shared 51 years of marriage. Together they built a life rooted in love, commitment, and family. She was a proud and caring mother to her sons, Corey Jones (Laura) and Anthony Jones (Lindsey), and a deeply cherished “Nina” to Caden, Amiah, Mia, and Zoey, who brought her immense joy. Ann leaves behind a brother, Ronnie (Linda), sister, Sherry (John) and many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews, each deeply loved by her.
Ann also shared a strong bond with lifelong friends Nealie and Lynda Ann, the 3 Musketeers.
Ann, who taught home economics at Norwood Middle School for over two decades, imparted valuable cooking, parenting, and cleaning skills to numerous students. Additionally, she served as a Sunday school and Vacation Bible School teacher at Middle Creek Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Edna Martin, and her special aunts, Sis and Bernie, who held a meaningful place in her heart.
Ann will be remembered for her steady presence, her sacrificial love for her family, and the gentle way she cared for others. Her legacy lives on in the lives she touched and the family she so dearly loved.
Special thanks to her caregiver, Ellie, and Caris Healthcare for their amazing care and support in this time.
