The Oliver Springs Town Council met last night but did not hear the appeal of recently terminated Police Chief Kenneth Morgan. Mayor Omer Cox fired Morgan last month on misconduct allegations. Morgan’s attorney has requested mediation in the case which town officials reportedly agreed to. If that process does not yield a result, a hearing will happen May 6, 2021 immediately following the council’s regular meeting.
