Funeral Services for Artie Hassler, age 86, of Monterey, Tennessee, will be conducted on Friday, April 28, 2023, at 1:00 PM from The Chapel of Goff Funeral Home. Bro. Tony Phipps will officiate with interment to follow in the Lovejoy Cemetery. Mrs. Hassler was born on Saturday, July 4, 1936, in the Lovejoy community, to the late Burton and Martha Phipps McCowan. Mrs. Hassler passed away on Sunday, April 23, 2023, at Standing Stone Care and Rehabilitation Center. Mrs. Hassler was a homemaker and had worked with several garment factories She was a member of Sand Springs Baptist Church. She is survived by, 2 sons, Jimmy Hassler of the Mineral Springs Community, and Danny Hassler of Little Rock, AR; 5 grandchildren, April (Jamey) Mahan, Amy (Jacob) Buckner, Joey (Mandy) Hassler, Robert Hassler, and J.W. Hassler; 6 great-grandchildren; 1 great-granddaughter; 2 sisters, Glenna Collett of North Little Rock, AR, Lois (Richard) Hosier of Lebanon, TN; 5 brothers, Ellis (Maureen) McCowan of Monterey, TN, Avery (Kathy) McCowan of Dayton, TN, Arnold McCowan of Monterey, TN, Bobby (Elke) McCowan of Westel, TN, David (Tracy) McCowan of Laguna Woods, CA; and a host of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Herbert Hassler; sons, Jerry, Johnny, and Donnie Hassler; great-granddaughter, Lacelynn Love Hassler; an infant sister, Mazell; and brother, Otis B. McCowan.
