Evans – Barbara Jean Barger, age 85 of the Daysville community of Rockwood, passed away on Saturday, May 10, 2025. She was born on August 25, 1939, in Lake City, TN. She worked for many years as a seamstress at the hosiery mill before retiring to be at home and help take care of her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister. She is preceded in death by her parents: Charles Melvin Fraley & Goldie Ruth Lindsey Fraley; siblings: Charles Melvin Fraley Jr, and Robert “Bobby” Fraley. She is survived by:

Daughter: Connie Stone

Grandchildren: Logan Niles & Dr. Summer Pendl

Great Grandchildren: Corbin Niles & Avery Pendl

Siblings: Richard Fraley, Jo Ann Adcox, Joyce Boles, Carolyn Standridge, and Ronnie Fraley

as well as several nieces, nephews, and other extended family members and friends

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, from 6:00-8:00 pm ET at Evans Mortuary in Rockwood. Graveside and interment service will be held on Thursday, May 15, 2025, at 1:00 pm ET in the Daysville Cemetery in Rockwood, TN. Evans Mortuary is serving the family of Mrs. Barbara Jean Barger.
