Barbara Maxine McCaleb Chatman, age 87, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 15, 2024, at her home with her family by her side. She worked for many years with Mid-East of Roane county and took great pride in her work as a volunteer election worker for the Roane County Election Commission. She is preceded in death by her parents: Ruel & Thelma McCaleb; husband: Warren Chatman; siblings: Primrose Siler, William McCaleb, Angeline Anderson, Lewis McCaleb, Elizabeth Hickey, Clarence (Honey) McCaleb, and Ebbie Marie Frazier; daughter: Gayle Dyer, and cousin: Bernetta Foust.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 24, 2024, from 11:00am-12:00pm at Evans Mortuary in Rockwood. Funeral service will follow at 12:00 pm Et. Graveside and interment service will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Rockwood. Evans Mortuary is honored to serve the family of Mrs. Barbara Maxine McCaleb Chatman.
