Barbara Moore 89, of Spring City died Saturday, January 17, 2026 at her residence.

She was born January 31, 1936 and was a lifelong resident of Rhea County. She attended St. Clair School. Barbara was a seamstress who spent her long career working in the textile industry for Spring City Manufacturing and retiring from L.E.P. Industries. Her hobbies included sewing, which she loved, and reading. Barbara was a member of Heritage Baptist Church.

Barbara is preceded in death by her parents; Van and Velma Moore White. Her husband George Moore, her son Van Moore, her brothers Charles and Claudie White and her sister Wilma Bridges.

Survivors include her children Connie Barger of Graysville, Tennessee, Marie Nixon of Spring City, Tennessee, Beverly (Rick) Clingan of Spring City, Tennessee, Sandra (Pam Thomas)Moore of Dayton, Tennessee, Candy Moore of Spring City, Tennessee and Jeff (Doris) Moore of Spring City, Tennessee. Her brothers Robert White of Georgia and Van White of Evensville, Tennessee. 10 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, January 21, 2026 at 2:00pm in the chapel of Vaughn Funeral Home with Rev. Johnathan Lane officiating. Interment will follow in the Friendship Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday, January 20, 2026 from 5 to 7 pm at Vaughn Funeral Home.
