Betty Mae Foust Powers Chittum, age 88, of Decatur, passed away on Tuesday, April 19, 2022, at her residence.

She was the daughter of the late Carson and Kattie Burton Foust. She was of the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by her husband: Robert Chittum; several brothers and sisters.

Survivors include her children: Patsy Davis of Dayton, James Powers of Chattanooga, Joyce Powers, Dennis Powers, Edward Powers, all of Decatur, Evon Waller of Ten Mile, Beverly Ferguson of Lake City, TN; brother: Pete Foust, 19 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and other extended families.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 22, 2022, at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Decatur Funeral Home & Cremation Services with the Rev. Lawrence Waller officiating. Interment will follow in the Meigs County Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 12-2 p.m. prior to the service.
