During the Harriman City Council meeting Tuesday night, the city approved a little over 1.3 million dollars worth of contract work to McKinnon Construction Company LLC which will do renovation work on the streets and sidewalks in the downtown area from Crescent to Georgia streets. This has been a project planned for some time, but now the bid has been accepted and the contract has been approved. The city will have to put in $135,000 of its own money to match the total cost of the project.
