BILL DRAINAS age 74 of Crossville, TN passed away October 1, 2021. He was born November 4, 1946, in Loundi, Greece, the son of John and Panayiota Drainas. Bill moved from Greece to Canada in his younger years. It was there that he met his future wife, Demetra, who had also moved from Greece to Canada.They married in Canada and moved to the United States where they lived in various states before deciding to move to Crossville. Once they visited Crossville in late 1973, they knew that this was the place they would call home. He and his wife, Demetra opened Gondola Pizza House. Bill had a tremendous love for the people and the community. He will be greatly missed by all his friends and customers who have come to love him and the family throughout the years. They were members of The Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in Nashville, TN.

He is survived by his wife- Demetra Drainas of Crossville, TN, sons- John Drainas and his wife Evangelia and their children- Demetra, Panagiota, Nickole and Bill of Crossville, TN and Sam Drainas and his children- Demetra, Bill, Nicko and Jax also of Crossville and brother- Kostoas Drainas and his wife Vaso of Greece.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother- Nicko Drainas.

Funeral services will be held Monday October 4, 2021, at 3pm at Hood Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Monday from 12pm-3pm prior to the service at Hood Funeral Home. Burial will be in Crossville City Cemetery.
