Funeral Services for Billie Ruth Gentry, age 84, of Monterey, Tennessee, will be conducted on Monday, December 2, 2024, at 1:00 PM from The Chapel of Goff Funeral Home. Bro. Tim Singleton will officiate with interment to follow in the Welch Memorial Cemetery. Mrs. Gentry was born on Wednesday, November 29, 1939, in Monterey, Tennessee, to the late William and Dorothy Smith Copeland. Mrs. Gentry passed away on Saturday, November 23, 2024, at the Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Gentry was a homemaker. She was a former board member of Welch Memorial Cemetery. She is survived by her nieces and nephew, Mary Copeland Dillingham of Chesterfield, VA, Cheryl Copeland of Monterey, TN, Johnny Copeland of Independence, MO; cousins, Jody and Teresa Stevens of Pleasant Hill, TN, Loretta and Gerry Turner of Crossville, TN; a host of other nieces and nephews; special friends, family, and caregivers, Lisa Farley and family, April Bowman, Clarence Gentry, Jody and Teresa Stevens. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Marson Gentry; son, Michael Lynn Gentry; and her beloved pet, Star.
