BILLY D. BONER SR., age, 85 of Crossville, TN passed away September 16, 2024. He was born December 16, 1938, in Antioch, TN the son of Joe H. and Mildred I. Jones Boner. He was owner and operator of Bill Boner Construction in the Murfreesboro and Smyrna area for many years before his retirement. He also owned various other small businesses through out his lifetime. He served four years as Assessor of Property in Murfreesboro and, also served four years active reserve in the U.S. National Guard. He loved to farm, and he and his wife Joyce raised exotic animals, a place the community school children loved to visit. He was an active member of Linary Church of Christ in Crossville, TN and he and Joyce were former members of North Blvd Church of Christ in Murfreesboro, TN.

He is survived by his wife Joyce Boner of Crossville, TN, sons- Billy D. Boner Jr. of Horse Cave, KY and William A. Boner and his wife Suthasinee of Vero Beach, FL, daughter- Laura Boner Pack and her husband Matt of Murfreesboro, TN, brothers- Jasper Boner of Smyrna, TN and harry Boner and his wife Shirley of Bell Buckle, TN, sister- Katherine Finestein and her husband Randall of Woodbury, Tn, grandchildren- Abbey Burton and Joshua Burton and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Friday September 20, 2024, at 11am at Hood Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Friday from 9am to 11am, two hours prior to the service at the funeral home. A Graveside Committal will be held Friday at 3pm at Roselawn Memorial Park in Murfreesboro, TN. The family has respectfully asked that in lieu of flowers that donations be made to North Blvd Church of Christ, Meals on Wheels Food Ministry, 1112 North Rutherford Blvd., Murfreesboro, TN 37130.
