Mr. Billy Dean Amonett of Albany, Kentucky passed away on Friday, March 20, 2026, at the Medical Center of Bowling Green, Kentucky having attained the age of 58 years, 5 months, and 11 days. He was born in Pickett County, Tennessee on Monday, October 9, 1967, the son of Ray & Wanda Geraldine (Johnson) Amonett. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his partner, Melissa Amonett, bothers, Donnie Amonett and Charles Amonett.

He is survived by his children, Melissa (& Timothy) Anderson, Ashley Fenner, Billie Sue Amonett (& Jeremy Peckham), Thurman Ray Amonett (& McKayla Rule), Tyler Amonett (& Alexandria Troxell); siblings, Bobby Amonett, Peggy Reed, Lori Wallace; 14 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and 9 nieces & nephews.

The funeral service was conducted on Thursday, March 26, 2026, at 1:00pm CST in the memory chapel of the Campbell-New Funeral Home in Albany Kentucky with Bro. Bruce Stearns officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions appreciated to the Billy Amonett Memorial Fund, c/o Campbell-New Funeral Home.
