Billy Dean Amonett of Albany, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, March 20, 2026, at the Medical Center of Bowling Green, Kentucky, having attained the age of 58 years, 5 months, and 11 days. He was born in Pickett County, Tennessee, on Monday, October 9, 1967, the son of Ray & Wanda Geraldine (Johnson) Amonett.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his partner: Melissa Amonett; and brothers: Donnie Amonett and Charles Amonett.

He is survived by his children: Melissa (Timothy) Anderson, Ashley Fenner, Billie Sue Amonett (Jeremy Peckham), Thurman Ray Amonett (McKayla Rule), and Tyler Amonett (Alexandria Troxell); siblings: Bobby Amonett, Peggy Reed, and Lori Wallace; 14 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and 9 nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be conducted on Thursday, March 26, 2026, at 11 a.m. Central in the memory chapel of the Campbell-New Funeral Home in Albany, Kentucky, with Bro. Bruce Stearns officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 26, 2026, beginning at 11 a.m. Central until the funeral hour. In lieu of flowers, contributions appreciated to the Billy Amonett Memorial Fund, c/o Campbell-New Funeral Home.
