Brenda Dianne Blankenship, 74, of Sweetwater, passed away Wednesday, September 18, 2024, at Sweetwater Hospital. She was a 1967 graduate of Sweetwater High School and a 1968 graduate of Knoxville Business College. She was a retired teacher’s assistant of the Sweetwater City School System. She was a member of Fairview Baptist Tabernacle Church.

Brenda is survived by daughters, Whitney (Patrick) Dalton of Madisonville, Marla (Marty) Lawson of Decatur, son Tyler (Bridget) Blankenship of Sweetwater; granddaughters, Toryn & Talley Lawson, Deanna Dalton, and Hanna Blankenship; and brother Don (Elizabeth) Montooth. She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Carl Blankenship, and parents, Clyde and Anna Mae Montooth.

A graveside service will be held on Sunday, September 22, 2024, at 2p.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church Cemetery, 4826 Sweetwater Vonore Road, Sweetwater, TN 37874, Rev. Phillip Johnson officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Fairview Baptist Tabernacle Church Building Fund.
