Brenda Marie Blair, 78, passed away on November 24, 2025. She was born in Athens, TN on February 10, 1947, to Geneva and James Filyaw. Brenda was fun loving and had a wonderful sense of humor. She was a jokester and a prankster that enjoyed getting into mischief. Brenda also loved to travel. Road trips everywhere and anywhere but she especially loved going to the Smokey Mountains and NASCAR races.
In addition to her parents, Brenda is preceded in death by her son, Stevie Filyaw; her husband, Ernie Blair; sister, Carol Woody and one brother, Roy Mullins.
She is survived by her sons, Jeff Taylor and Dewayne Taylor. Her grandchildren, Melanie Smith, Dusin and Dylan Taylor, Robbie and Vanessa Filyaw. Brenda also leaves behind four siblings, James Filyaw, Pam Eppolito, Reba Carmley, Dean Filyaw and a large extended family filled with nieces, nephews and cousins that loved her.
Brenda will be cremated per her wishes.
