Bruce Darwin Lawson of Roane County, TN passed away on Friday May 8th, 2026. He succumbed to his illness from multiple toxin exposures during his 30 years of service at K-25 GDP. He was the youngest child born to Tillman and Ida Lawson in Sneedville, TN.

Bruce was a 1964 graduate of Roane County High School and attended Roane State Community College. He grew up attending Mars Hill Baptist Church of Kingston.

His hobbies included wood working and photography. He was an avid angler, and a life-long stamp collector.

After retiring from K-25 he moved onto working for the WHPP program where he was passionate in helping coworkers and friends obtain their white cards.

Bruce is preceded in death by many friends and family members, also preceding him is his daughter Teresa with whom he is now joyfully reunited with.

He is survived by his wife Kim; daughters Sherri (late husband David), Kristin (Gary), son Darwin; grandchildren Grace, Josh, Emily (Chris), Candace (Nic), Jonathan (Britan), Sarah, Jacob, and Lilly; great grandchildren Kylianne, Keirra, Lyanna, Jude, Lily, Silas and Elijah; special nieces Joanne Hahn and Wanda Russell; and a host of other family members and friends.

The family would also like to express thanks to the special caregivers Bruce had through the years Abigail Jennings and Jackie Huling.

The family will receive friends on Thursday May 14, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Jackson Funeral Home and Cremation in Oliver Springs, TN. A short celebration of life will follow in the chapel.
