Callie Ann Jones Pardue, 86

Callie Ann Jones Pardue, 86, of Sweetwater, left this life Wednesday, September 25th. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Sweetwater, where she served in the nursery and sang in the sanctuary choir for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband Don Pardue. Don and Callie owned and operated McKinney’s Department Store until their retirement. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Neal and Jewell Jones, and brother Morgan Jones. She is survived by her son Danny Pardue (Jennifer), daughter Brenda Watts (David), grandchildren Tiffany Pardue, Cory Pardue, Katie Beth Watts Eldridge (Collin), Jake Watts, and sister Brenda Marcum (Lon) as well as several nieces and nephews.
Callie had a special way of leaving a positive impression through her gifting of colorful knitted dishrags. She was an avid quilter and quite the seamstress when it came to repairing torn or damaged garments for the entire family. She left behind many hand-made creations as cherished memories in addition to her infectious, wheezy laugh, generous heart, and loving spirit.
A graveside service will be held at Westview Cemetery in Sweetwater on Saturday, September 28, 2024, at 11:00am with Rev. Jason Pounds and Rev. Keith Wheeler presiding. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, Sweetwater – Finish the Vision Campaign (303 Wright Street; Sweetwater, TN 37874) or Gideons International.
