Carol Jean Taylor, 83, was born on January 25, 1942 to John and Hazel Caldwell in Portland, IN. She passed away on January 5, 2026 at her home in Crossville, TN. She loved going to church, spending time with her family ,and listening to her daughters sing. Carol is survived by her children- Joennen (Eugene) Kettler, Brian (Paige) Matthews, Eric (Tammy) Matthews, and Gina (Jerry) Wilson; siblings- David (Pam) Caldwell and Sharon Goodpastor; 13 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and 9 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents- John B and Hazel (Stansbury) Caldwell; and her daughter- Michelle Wright. Services will be held at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home on Thursday, January 8, 2026. Visitation will be from 5-7pm, with the service to follow at 7pm, Eric Matthews officiating.
