Carolyn Sue Martorana, of Jamestown, formerly of South Carthage, was born July 4, 1955, and died peacefully on the morning of October 22, 2026, at the age of 71 at Livingston Regional Hospital in Livingston, TN.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Thomas Martorana of Jamestown TN; daughter Tammy Lynn Martorana of Cookeville, TN; son, James (Barbara Allison) Martorana and 2 grandsons, Fox James and Gabriel Brian Martorana all of Gordonsville, TN.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Anna Elizabeth Smith; brother, Gary Ellison; sisters, Madeline Ellison and Sandy Schladorn.
Carolyn was a saved Christian woman. Her beliefs and faith helped her battle her illnesses. To Carolyn being a mother and grandmother meant everything. She loved and was so proud of her grandsons and always made sure they had whatever they needed and wanted, especially at Christmas time. She very much enjoyed watching her grandsons grow into young men. Carolyn also loved animals. There was never a time that she did not have dogs and cats as pets, she frequently gave to animal non-profits because she hated to see animals not being cared for. She also enjoyed watching the birds outside, a pastime that she shared with her mother.
She will be greatly missed here on earth by those who love her. And though she now resides in her new home in the Kingdom of Heaven with the one true God, her family and loved ones have faith that they will meet up again with her amongst the Angels, where she will feel no more pain and suffering. Like her mother, Anna Smith who proceeded her in death, Carolyn has chosen cremation.
A memorial to remember her in life and in her honor will be set at a later date.
In Lieu of flowers, the family would like to ask that any donations be made to Jennings Funeral Homes in Jamestown, TN to help pay for final expenses.
Jennings Funeral Homes of Jamestown is in charge of the cremation for Carolyn Sue Martorana, of Jamestown, formerly of South Carthage.
