Jennings – Carrie Elizabeth Romer, age 41 of Joelton, formerly of Jamestown, passed away on Saturday, July 5, 2025 at the Tristar Skyline Medical Center.

Requiem Mass will be held on Wednesday, July 9, 2025 at 1:00 pm at the St. Christopher Catholic Church in Jamestown. Burial will follow in the Fentress Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 9, 2025 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at St. Christopher Catholic Church in Jamestown.

Carrie attended Allardt Elementary and played on the Allardt Girls Basketball team. She was a 2001 graduate of York Institute, Top 10 in the class and 2001 Ms. YAI. While at York, she was very active in the Christian Club, Noteworthy, and was the President of the Interact Club her senior year. She excelled in Track and Field, competing in Shot Put, Discus some running events, and was on the Staff of the Boys Basketball team. Carrie became a Certified Red Cross Life Guard, Certified CPR teacher and was the Head Life Guard/President of the Masters Swim Club at Middle Tennessee State University, where she also played Rugby. She earned her Masters Of Science Degree in Biology from Middle Tennessee State University in 2007. Carrie was a Research Biologist at Vanderbilt Medical Center where she worked on many very important scientific projects. She loved her cats and hamsters.
