A citizen called law enforcement Monday after observing a casket floating along the Cumberland River in Wilson County. Officials with the Wilson County Sheriff’s Boat Patrol and Wilson County Emergency Management Agency Rescue responded to the scene and brought it to shore. Authorities said the casket was unused and empty. They are not sure at this time who put it in the water.
