Federal authorities say Karim and Rahim Sadruddin in Bledsoe County faces several fraud charges, including wire fraud, mail fraud and money laundering. Federal documents allege the two took millions in federal and state grant money even though they knew they couldn’t afford to employ 1,000 people. The lawsuit calls for a judge to approve freezing the brothers’ assets, including what’s in their bank accounts. The government also wants to seize the brothers company, Textile Corporation of America in Pikeville.
