Charles “Chuck” Hudson Black took his first breath in Heaven on January 11, 2023, at the age of 75. He was born in Orange, CA on December 25, 1947, to Charles Black and Phyllis Hudson Black.

Chuck grew up in Huntington Beach, CA. He served in the United States Army for 2 years, became a police officer for the Santa Ana Police Department, and then became an OSHA Compliance/Safety Consultant. In addition to his professional life, Chuck was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, and great-uncle.

Chuck was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Black, and Phyllis Hudson Black.

He is survived by his wife, Tamie Black; children Staci (Dan) Maijala and Shawn (Vivian) Black; their mother Cheri Black; grandchildren Danica (Brandon) Leslie, Shannon, Caily, and Courtney Maijala, Mason Black, and Bree Ramirez; great-granddaughter Ryan Leslie; in-laws Bill and Gwen Griffin; niece Jessica (Spencer) Bradley; their two children Orion and Logan Bradley; in addition to many close cousins and friends in and around California.

Services will be held at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home on Saturday, January 28, 2023. Visitation will be held at 12:00 pm with the service to follow at 12:30 pm, Steve Salmond officiating.
