CHARLOTTE RAMONA SWARTSELL age 64 of Lebanon, TN formerly of Crossville, TN passed away May 23, 2026. She was born June 27, 1961 in Crossville, TN the daughter of Eugene and Christine Dowell Rector. She became a LPN in 1997 and worked many years with dementia and alzheimer’s patients at Maple Cottage Memory Care in Hendersonville, TN from 2018-2024 as Clinical Manager and was a nurse at Life Care and Standing Stone in Crossville earlier in her career. She loved her job as a nurse and helping people so much. She had an abundance of love and care for everyone and loved her family fiercely. She was never afraid to tell what the Lord had done in her life and how much she loved her Savior, Jesus Christ.

She is survived by her husband- Timothy Swartsell of Lebanon, TN, children- Melanie Shaver and her husband Troy of Crossville, TN, Eric Scott Watson of Pikeville, TN, Chris Swartsell and Tyler Swartsell both of Nashville, TN and Leslie Swartsell and Lauren Swartsell both of Roswell, New Mexico, brothers- Randall Rector of Florida and Ronnie Rector and his wife Kathy of Crossville, TN, sister- Nancy Rector of Crossville, TN, grandson- Peyton West, nephews- Joshua Rector and Logan Rector and  longtime best friend- Reece Smith and her husband Rick. She also leaves her two beloved dogs.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be held Saturday May 30, 2026 at 1pm at Hood Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 11am-1pm two hours prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in New Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
