CHATTANOOGA POLICE SEEK KILLER AFTER SHOOTING VICTIM SHOWS UP AT HOSPITAL

Early Sunday morning, Chattanooga police were called to a local hospital about a man with life-threatening injuries from a gunshot wound who arrived there by personal vehicle.

When police arrived on the scene, 18-year-old Malik Sawyer had already died from his injuries.

The Chattanooga Police Department Violent Crimes Bureau responded to conduct an investigation. Police discovered the crime scene along the 3200 block of Wilcox Boulevard.

The Chattanooga Police Department is asking anyone with information about the incident to contact the homicide tip line at 423-643-5100 or submit a tip via the department’s mobile app.

The investigation is ongoing.
