Cheryl Walker age 67 of Cleveland, Tennessee died on Friday, September 12, 2025 at CHI Memorial Hospital in Hixson.

She was born on September 16, 1957 in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Marlin and Rose Wolford Ford and has been a resident of the area since 2020. Cheryl grew up in Indianapolis and was a graduate of Purdue University. She was very active in Operation Christmas Child, which sends gift-filled Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes to children in need around the world together with the message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.Cheryl enjoyed swimming with her group at the YMCA in Cleveland, doing crafts, and gardening flowers. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Cleveland.

Survivors include her husband Kelvin Walker of Cleveland, Tennessee; her children Christopher (Lindsey) Walker of Concord, North Carolina, Daniel (Angela) Walker of St. Louis, Missouri, and Melissa Walker of Cleveland, Tennessee; her brothers Michael (Barbara) Ford of Austin, Texas and Donald (Cathy) Ford of Fishers, Indiana; her grandchildren Chapman Ray Walker, Parker June Walker, Knox Anderson Walker, and Maren Joy Walker; and her several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 16, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel of Vaughn Funeral Home with Rev. Rusty Revis officiating. Interment will follow in McClendon Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday, September 15, 2025 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Vaughn Funeral Home.
