CLEVELAND TN RESTAURANT RECEIVES FAILING HEALTH SCORE OF 55
The restaurant Un Cafecito in Cleveland, TN received a devastatingly low Health score of 55 today from the Tennessee Health Department. For reference, any score below 70 is considered a failing grade.
Health inspectors observed a lack of managerial control demonstrated by multiple priority violations, as well as many other health code violations.
Further observations include but are not limited to: an employee handling a raw egg who did not change gloves or wash hands and proceeded to wipe their hands on a dirty rag before continuing with food prep; an employee handling raw steak in much the same manner; an employee who did not wash hands between reentering the kitchen and handling clean dishes; severely dented cans of corn; chorizo that had been cooked 2 days ago but hadn’t been properly dated; and raw chicken that had been set out on a prep table to thaw the previous night.
