CUMBERLAND COUNTY HIGH SCHOOL CLASS OF 2020 ANNOUNCES AWARDS AND HONORS

GRADUATING WITH STATE DISTINCTION
Students will be recognized as graduating with state distinction by attaining a B (3.0) or better average and completing at least one of the following:
- Earn a national and/or state recognized industry certification;
- Participate in at least one of the Governor’s Schools;
- Participate in at least one of the state’s All State music organizations;
Earn statewide recognition or award at a skill- or knowledge-based state tournament, convention, or competition hosted by a statewide student organization, and/or qualify for national recognition by a national student organization;
- Be selected as a National Merit Finalist or Semi-Finalist;
- Attain a score of 31 or higher composite score on the ACT or SAT equivalent;
- Attain a score of 3 or higher on at least two advanced placement exams;
- Successfully complete the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program; or
- Earn 12 or more semester hours of transcripted postsecondary credit.

GRADUATING AS A TENNESSEE SCHOLAR
Students get the opportunity to graduate as a Tennessee Scholar if they meet all graduation requirements, have no out of school suspensions, have 95% attendance, maintain at least a C average (2.0), and complete 80 hours of volunteer service to help your community. These hours must be done before/after school and cannot be counted as a grade or for pay.
