Funeral Services for Damon C. Murphy, age 78, of the Crossroads Community, will be conducted on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, at 2:00 PM from The Chapel of Goff Funeral Home. Rev. Michael Swallows will officiate with interment to follow in the Love Joy Cemetery. Mr. Murphy was born on Friday, June 25, 1948, in Overton County, Tennessee, to the late Robert and Martha Rinda Vaughn Murphy. Mr. Murphy passed away on Saturday, September 5, 2026, at his home. Mr. Murphy retired from Camp Monterey. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Judy Jenkins Murphy; special niece, Teresa and Rev. Michael Swallows; special nephew, Matthew Murphy; sister-in-law, Marilyn Murphy; and a host of other family members and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, infant, Ollie Murphy, James Murphy, Betty Farley, Norene Essary, Lora Norrod, and Willodean Norrod.
