DANA BOYD FARMER, age 96 of Crab Orchard, TN passed away May 18, 2024. He was born January 13, 1928, in Pleasant Hill, TN, the son of Henry and Bessie J. Jernigan Farmer. He was retired from Delta Airlines as a flight engineer and was also a retired United States Army Air Corp and Air Force veteran having served our country during WWII, Korea and Vietnam. He was a Master Mason with Crossville Masonic Lodge 483 for more than 60 years.

He is survived by his daughters- Gloria Holcombe and her husband Jack of Jefferson, GA and Lisa Lind and her husband Steve of Crab Orchard, TN, brothers- Damon Farmer and his wife Iris of Anchorage, Alaska and Dennis Farmer and his wife Sylvia of Sparta, TN, grandchildren- Haley Bodine and her husband Adam, Toni Leigh Fisher and her husband Randy, Bridget Anne Boykin, Joseph Swafford Jr. and Natalie Swafford and great grandchildr3en- Logan, Chase, Ruthanne, Marylynne, Joybeth, Blake, Archer and Colt.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife- Helen Jeanne Farmer and son- Dana Lynn Farmer.

Memorial services will be held Thursday May 23, 2024, at 2pm at Hood Funeral home. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 1pm-2pm prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Green Acres Memory Gardens.
