Dana Jean Mason, age 79, passed away September 27 peacefully at her home in Harriman. Dana dedicated her life to helping others personally and professionally, spending most of her adult life as a high school administrator at Cocoa High in Brevard County, FL. Prior to teaching, Dana graduated from Harriman High as a student athlete and then furthered her education and graduated from East Tennessee State University. She was preceded in death by parents Harvey and Lillian Mason, brother Tony Mason, and sister-in-law Becky Mason, all of Harriman. She is survived by her sisters Julia Keylon (Chris) of Louisville, TN and Tracy Oody (Keith) of Harriman. She is also survived by 7 nieces & nephews and 11 great nieces & nephews. Dana loved Jesus and studied the Bible daily. Because of her faith, there will be a celebration of her life and her homecoming on October 12, 2024, at Harriman Methodist Church at 2pm with Rev. Magan Stubblefield officiating. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to The Gideon Foundation, Harriman Methodist Church, Harriman Library or the SPCA in Titusville, Florida.
