Daris Robert Thomas, age 73, of Sweetwater, passed away Wednesday, October 23, 2024, at Waters Convalescent Home surrounded by his son, brother, and other family. He was born on October 20, 1951, to the late Robert Lee and Ruby Lee (Moore) Thomas. Also, proceeded in death by brothers, James Thomas, and Frank Thomas; sister, Sharon Cornelia (Thomas) Buckner; sister-in-law, Pat Thomas all of Sweetwater; niece, Victoria (Vickie Buckner) Haun of Englewood; mother of son, Sandra (Oody) Akins of Tellico Plains.
Survived by son, Robert Shawn Thomas, and wife, Alisha of Madisonville; brothers, Alvin Thomas and wife, Peggy of Vonore. Stanley Thomas of Sweetwater; Nieces, Michelle (Thomas) Givens of Madisonville, Angela (Thomas) Shaffer of Vonore, and Amber (Thomas) Pippin of Sweetwater; three great nieces and three great-nephews.
The interment will be at Sweetwater Memorial Park on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, at 1:00 PM.
