David Allan Young, Sr., age 81, of Rockwood, passed away March 9, 2021. He was born December 18, 1939 in Denver, Colorado. He was a loving husband and a great father. He worked most of his life as an aerospace engineer, working for numerous different companies and he also invented part of the Viking Lander that originally landed on Mars. He was preceded in death by his parents: Arthur Thomas Young & Verna Ethel Osborne Young. He is survived by his wife: Victoria Young of Rockwood; sons: David Young Jr, Danny Young, Justin Young, and John Reffel; sister: Patricia Young; and brother: Don Young. Cremation arrangements have been made and a private family interment will be held at a later date. Evans Mortuary is serving the family.
