David H. Cass, age 82, of Decatur, passed away on Wednesday, October 14, 2026.

David is preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Margaret Cass; son, Johnathan Cass; sister, Rebecca “Becky” Westbrook.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Linda Fields Cass; children, David (Angie) Cass Jr., Krista Cass (Eddie) Brown; grandchildren, Camille, Caleb, Catelyn, Emily, Nate, Macy, Andrew, Lyndi; great-grandchildren, Sloan, Haddie Mae, Riker, Charlotte; siblings, Randy (Pheba) Cass, Donald (Kathy) Cass, Robert (Jan) Cass; several nieces, nephews, and other extended family.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, at Big Spring Church of Christ. Interment will follow in the Meigs County Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 5 -7 p.m., on Monday, October 19, 2026, in the chapel of Decatur Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
