David Michael Vestal Jr., age 62, of Sweetwater, TN, passed away on November 20, 2024. David was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jerry and Sue Vestal; grandparents John and Glenna Kennedy; and his father, David Vestal. He is survived by his love of 42 years Tamara Vestal; mother Carol Ann Kennedy Vestal; son Tyler Vestal; son David Carter Vestal and wife Breanna; sister Julia Vestal Lee and husband Joe; sister Laura Vestal Byrum and husband Eddie; brothers-in-law Nelson (Gina) Swainson, Joey (Teri) Swainson, Randy (Jennifer) Hicks, Russell (Amy) Hicks; many nieces and nephews; and work family.

David Vestal was born on September 5, 1962, in Sweetwater, TN. David graduated from Sweetwater High and continued to play football as a linebacker for ETSU. He began working for Vestal Manufacturing Co. in 1988, where he worked his way up to President. He was deeply committed to the success of the company and his coworkers. David was a devoted husband, father, and family man. He never stopped chasing the next adventure, whether hiking with his sons in Yosemite or jumping across fire at obstacle course races. He will be remembered for his drive and kindness. He was a lifetime member of First Methodist Church of Sweetwater.

The family will receive friends at First Methodist Church of Sweetwater in the sanctuary on Monday, November 25, 2024, from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. The burial and service will be at Sweetwater Memorial Park on Tuesday, November 26, 2024, to begin at 11:00 a.m. for all family and friends. Memorials may be made to First Methodist Church or ACS Hope Lodge Nashville. Ty Vestal, Carter Vestal, Eddie Byrum, Keith Shope, Jason Hall, Rich Nibarger, Jonathan Barnes, and Brett Ward will serve as pallbearers.
