Deborah Lynn (Piercey) Grider, 72
Mrs. Deborah Lynn (Piercey) Grider of Albany, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, October 24, 2025, at the Medical Center in Albany, Kentucky, having attained the age of 72 years, 5 months and 13 days. She was born in Clinton County, Kentucky, on Monday, May 11, 1953, the daughter of Eugene & Oma (Coop) Piercey. She was of the Baptist faith and worked for the Clinton County Board of Education as a teacher. She loved reading, browsing yard sales, and listening to oldies music, but her greatest joy came from spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her father, Eugene Piercey, son, Benjamin Kay Grider, and brother, Lonnie David Piercey.
She is survived by her husband, Elzie Kay Grider Jr., whom she wed on Saturday, December 4, 1971, her mother, Oma Piercey, children, Brandon Joseph Grider, Jessica Lee (Grider) Morris, all of Albany, Kentucky, grandchildren, Colin Joseph Kay Grider, Tristan Cole Grider, Jeremiah Dale Morris, and Allison JoLee Grider, all of Albany, Kentucky.
The funeral service was conducted on Sunday, November 2, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. C.S.T., in the Memory Chapel of Campbell-New Funeral Home with Bro. Burce Stearns and Bro. Josh Burchett officiating. Burial was in the Cave Springs Cemetery in Clinton County, Kentucky. Casket Bearers were Isacc Phillips, Michael Hood, Nathan Stockton, Chris Hood, Bud Gibson, Trevor Tuggle, Eric Parrish, and Kenneth Brown.
