Sweetwater police went to TJ’s Foodmart at 1105 North Main Street late this morning for a deceased body near the scene. Upon arrival they spoke with a citizen who showed them the location of where the subject was at in a small wooded area. The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation also responded to assist. Authorities say the man passed away was an older Caucasian. An autopsy has been ordered to determine the exact cause of death. The name of the individual will be released later after a positive identification is made and next of kin is notified.
