Dennis Raymond “Denny” Parrott, 68, a Crossville native and lifetime resident, passed away on October 22, 2021 at an area hospital following a brief illness.  He was born June 28, 1953.

He was preceded in death by his parents J.L. and Della Mae (Lawson) Parrott, and by a brother, Melford.  Denny attended Cumberland County High School. He was a career truck driver. Initially, he began working with his father’s Crossville-based trucking company. Eventually, he became and over-the-road driver. He also ran successful businesses in Crossville.

Denny is survived by a son, Derek; his long-time companion, Jan Barnwell; siblings Ava (Red) Smith, Lois Conatser, and Michael (Donna) Parrott; several nieces and nephews; and his faithful pet Buck.  Denny was an adventurer. He had a unique zest for life, a quick wit and an infectious personality. He was an automobile enthusiast. And he always had his faithful pet dog by his side.

A Graveside Service will be held at 10am, Thursday, October 28, 2021 at Tollett’s Chapel Cemetery.
