Denzil Keith Britt, age 69, of Kingston, Tennessee, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, August 21, 2026. He was born on August 26, 1956, to the late Clifford and Wilma Britt.

Denzil was a graduate of Rockwood High School, Class of 1974. He continued his education at Roane State Community College and Tennessee Tech University, where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Education. He also proudly served his country as a member of the United States Air Force. Denzil later worked as an air traffic controller in Knoxville and Nashville.

Denzil was a man who loved life and enjoyed the outdoors. He was a raft guide and loved teaching others white water kayaking. He enjoyed riding mountain bikes, boating, sporting activities, and especially spending time living on the lake. He loved being outdoors and making memories with those around him.

Above all, Denzil loved Jesus. His faith was an important part of his life, and he made sure his family attended church. Denzil’s love for Jesus, his family, and the great outdoors will remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. His family takes comfort in knowing that he is now at peace and in the presence of his Savior.

He was a member of the Baptist faith and leaves behind a legacy of faith, love, and devotion to his family.

He is survived by his wife, Angela Burgess Britt of Kingston; son, Dayne Britt & Tiffany of Kingston; granddaughter, Sylvi Britt of Kingston; brother, DeWayne Britt of Maryville; sister, Donna Swatzell & husband, Donnie of Floral City, Florida; niece, Jessica Bond; and cousins, Lisa Cunningham, Danny Newhouse, and Beth Lincoln. He also leaves behind many other family members and friends who will cherish the memories they shared with him.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, at Fraker Funeral Home in Kingston. The funeral service will follow at 12:00 p.m., with Rev. Paul Lloyd officiating. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 26, 2026, at Piney Grove Cemetery, with Roane County Honor Guard.
