Roane County Deputy Julie Parham spent the last two weeks learning to teach effective peer resistance and refusal skills so that adolescents can say “no” to drugs and their friends who may want them to use drugs. Deputy Parham was also recognized as top of her class at graduation. Deputy Parham will now be taking over the program at Bowers Elementary School as the new D.A.R.E. Instructor this spring.
