Ms. Diane (McCoy) Staton of Albany passed away Monday, April 7, 2025 at her home having attained the age of 67 years, 1 month & 3 days. She was born in Burkesville, Kentucky on Tuesday, March 4, 1958 the daughter of Jesse Martin & Wanda Lee (Biggerstaff) McCoy. She was of the Church of Christ faith, a member of the Albany congregation, was a Deputy Circuit Court Clerk for Clinton County, Kentucky, was a 1976 graduate of Cumberland County High School, loved yard sales, fishing, crocheting, the lake, traveling with “the girls” & hunting dryland fish & arrowheads. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her Paternal Grandparents, Jesse & Madge (Dishman) McCoy, Maternal Grandparents, Frank & Hazel (Baise) Biggerstaff.

She is survived by her children, Ashley Nicole Spears & James Arthur (Chelsey) Staton, IV both of Albany, Sisters, Charlotte Carney, Katherine Moore, Sandy McCoy, Helen Voglesberg, Brothers, Kim McCoy, Charles McCoy & Todd McCoy, Two grandchildren, Jesse Dylan Crawley & Samantha Elliese “Ellie” Crawley, several nieces & nephews.

The funeral service will be conducted on Sunday, April 13, at 2:00 p.m. in the Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home in Burkesville, Kentucky with burial to follow in the Memorial Hill Cemetery in Albany, Kentucky. The family will receive friends from 12 noon Sunday until the service time Sunday at Norris-New.
