Donna Lou Hayes Palmer, age 74, of Harriman, passed away Tuesday evening, March 17, 2026, at Parkwest Medical Center in Knoxville.  She was born on October 5, 1951, in Jenkins, Kentucky. Donna attended Liberty Baptist Church whenever her health permitted and enjoyed gospel music, reading, and watching television. She also loved being around people and making them feel special.

She was preceded in death by her husband: Robert Lee Palmer; and parents: George & Melba Hayes.

Survivors include her sister: Debbie Lamb (Ernie) of Oliver Springs; brother: Chris Hayes (Lisa) of Knoxville; nephews: Kevin Lamb (Erin) of Knoxville and Adam Lamb (Shalane) of Chickamauga, Georgia; and several extended family members and many dear friends.

The family will receive friends from 3 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, March 22, 2026, at New Life Church of The Nazarene, located at 200 Lafayette Drive, Oak Ridge, Tennessee.  Funeral service will follow the visitation. Interment will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, March 23, 2026, at Anderson Memorial Gardens.
