Doris Conlon Dunkley, 83
Mrs. Doris Conlon Dunkley was born on November 3, 1942, in Ticonderoga, New York and she passed peacefully on February 27, 2026, at Life Care Center in Wartburg. She loved being with her family, and her church family. Doris grew up in the mountains of the Adirondacks in upstate New York, so she was always outdoors and especially loved rock climbing. In her lifetime she worked at Red Cap in Wartburg, and she retired from the Morgan County School System.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Neil Ray Dunkley.
Parents: Carey E. Dunkley and Ernest F. Conlon.
Great grandchild: Grayson Autry of Tennessee
Siblings: Roberta Ives of New York, Ruth Ives of New York, Katherine Ross of New York, Mable Remington of New York, Fletcher Conlon of New York, Frank Conlon of New York, John Conlon of New York, and William Conlon of New York.
She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law: Ray and Pamela Dunkley of Wartburg, and Neil and Ronda Dunkley of Oliver Springs, Tennessee.
One daughter: Bobbi Johnson of Coalfield, Tennessee.
Brother: Richard Conlon of Clinton, Tennessee.
Grandchildren: Amber Dunkley of New York, Ashley Autry of Tennessee, Courtney Dunkley of New York, Madison, Stinnett, and Caleb Dunkley all of Tennessee.
Along with her 13 great grandchildren.
A special thanks to Jim Armstrong for all his love and caring for Doris for many years. Thank you for everything.
The family will receive friends Friday, March 6, 2026, from 11:00 A.M to 12:00 noon with a graveside service to follow at Armes Chapel.
