Dorothy Christine Cosby Griffin, born on May 18, 1927, passed away on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, at 97 years old. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother, and sister. She enjoyed being in her garden, canning, sewing, and cooking for her family, especially during the holidays. She is preceded in death by her husband: James Griffin; son: Don Griffin; parents: George Washington Cosby & Amy Belle Dickie Cosby; 2 brothers, 2 sisters. She is survived by:

Children: Dianne Abston, Gayle Pritchett, Robert “Randy” Griffin Sr, and Scott Griffin (Pam)

A host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.

Sister: Suse Hutton

and a host of other family members and friends.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 9, 2024, from 12:00-1:00 pm ET at Evans Mortuary in Rockwood. Funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm ET with Chaplain Bruce Foster officiating. Graveside and interment service will follow in the Roane Memorial Gardens in Rockwood. Evans Mortuary is serving the family of Mrs. Dorothy Christine Cosby Griffin.
