Douglas Ross Redman, 60

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Douglas Ross Redman, who passed away peacefully on October 16, 2025, at the age of 60. Douglas was born on May 16, 1965, in Chicago, Illinois, and he enriched the lives of many with his warmth and kindness throughout his journey.

Douglas was preceded in death by his father; Rev. Max D. Redman and his Brother; Randall “Randy” Redman.

A devoted father, Douglas leaves behind his cherished sons, Austin and Joshua Redman, and his beloved daughter, Ashley Redman. He is also survived by his mother, Virginia Redman, and his brother, Jason Redman (Emi), nephews, extended family and a host of friends. Each of these family members will carry forward his legacy of love, strength, and dedication.

Douglas was a general contractor in the residential construction industry. He touched the lives of numerous clients and colleagues, all of whom will remember him for his unwavering spirit and generosity.

The funeral service will be held at Decatur Funeral Home & Cremation Services on October 20, 2025, at 7:00 PM with the Rev. Jimmy Lewis officiating.

Visitation will also take place from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on October 20, 2025 at the Funeral Home prior to the service.

A commitial service will take place at Walnut Grove Cemetery on October 21, 2025, at 11:00 AM.
