A vehicle accident this morning on Highway 127 in Fentress County temporarily blocked traffic in both directions.

The crash took place just north of Clarkrange at the intersection with Shady Lane Loop.

Troopers say a 2008 Toyota Tundra driven by 22-year-old Hunter Wells failed to maintain his northbound lane of travel, crossed over the center line, and struck an oncoming 2002 Chrysler minivan operated by 38-year-old Trevor Miller.

Both drivers sustained injuries in the crash.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol says charges are pending against Wells.
